GALLIFREY
I chose to put the capital city, Gallifrey, at the base of the north island, because the Great Kalistonian Bay is a main trading port for Kalistonia. The main trading goods at the bay, on the base of the south island are lumber, silk, fruit and industrial items. Another reason is is because the ancient ruins of many castles from the civil war many years ago are centered around the city, because the king and queen were both held there in Gallifrey. The civil war was between the north and south, fighting over a democracy, or monarchy. The north island supported monarchy, while the south chose democracy. In Kallistonia we have a constitutional monarchy, with the best of both worlds. Gallifrey is also near the Mines of Nordale, creating a main tourist attraction.
LUXOR
I chose that Luxor would be on the west side of the north island because since it is on a peninsula jutting out of the land, it would be a good ferry port. The ferry port has two main routes, one going to Gallifrey, and one going to Brightmere in the north. The only way to get to Brightmere, is by ferry, or you could take small roads spiraling through the forests. There are also fishing ports around the coast, and a factory nearby. Luxor is on a peninsula surrounded by woodland, and only the western tip has the city.
BRIGHTMERE
Brightmere is the warmest place in Kalistonia, only accessible by ferry or car. Brightmere is known worldwide for its fishing industry. Many countries get fish from Brightmere, and the most common fish in the lakes beside the town of Brightmere, wild salmon can be caught. At the north, we catch many Tuna, for they live in the ocean. Brightmere is near the Blackhall Bluffs, creating a scenic view over the ocean. The reason I chose to put Brightmere where it is, is because when the natives arrived for the first time, They set up camp there, and to date, 95% of the population in Brightmere is native.
LINGATE
Lingate is the industrial capital of Kalistonia. Lingate is surrounded by resources, mountains and lumber and sun, thus eventing in many factories in the city. Most major railroads on the north island either start or end in Lingate, as do major highways. Lingate also supplies the most jobs in the country, because of the factories that require manpower to produce. Out of all the cities in Kalistonia, Lingate has the most factories. Lingate is also the scientific capital of Kalistonia, because there are many labs where there is chemical testings, and courses that major scientists come to see every year.
NORDALE
Nordale is in the easternmost point of the north island, being the farthest from Motanesia. I put this city here because it can be a fishing town, and a mining town for it is close to the kukuxumusu mountain range. Nordale also is an important place in Kalistonian history because it was the main fort defending the country from the west side. Nordale is also a very small city, only with a population of 400 000 people.
DEERSTON
Deerston is at the northernmost point of the country, right near Tarans bay. It is the financial capital, because all the major banking buildings are centered there. Deerston also has one of the only long distance international airports in Kalistonia. You can take a ferry from Deerston to Gallifrey. Deerston has many industries, but none as big as the ones in Lingate. Fishing is also big in Deerston, and is one of the products that comes from Deerston.
SPRINGFORD
Springford is the agricultural capital of Kalistonia, located in the middle of wheat fields and farming land. The main product from Springford is livestock and wheat, but it is only shipped inside of Kalistonia. Springford also has the biggest train station in Kalistonia, with trains going to Deerston, RIverton, and Wintergate. Springford has a train going to the ferry that goes between both islands, which makes it a national hub.
RIVERTON
Riverton is a mountain town, jutting out of Mt. Horizon, looking over a valley. It is another agricultural city, known for its way of life. The way people live in Riverton is similar to the Amish, but they do use essential modern items such as a stove, a fridge, and running water. They get all their power from windmills, at the bottom of the valley. Riverton has many visitors, because they live very interesting lives.
WINTERGATE
Wintergate is at the southernmost point of Kalistonia, closest to the South Pole (thus the name Wintergate). Wintergate is mountainous and cold. The city itself is not very big, but the forests and mountains around are very beautiful. Overall Wintergate is an enchanting city, with legends about dwarves and elves as the city's secret inhabitants at night.
