The red in the flag represents the blood of our people who fought in the Great Kalistonian War. The green represents the biodiversity that our god has given us on our beautiful island. The blue represents the churning waters surrounding us on all sides, and the yellow represents the sun, beaming down on us from the heavens above. The last colour in our flag is purple and that signifies our history with kings and queens. The circle represents that everyone is in union and the different colours represent biodiversity and the fact that everyone can have their own opinion. I designed a flag to show these ideas.
Rationale for why I chose New Zealand
I chose for my country to be in New Zealand because of the incredible biodiversity there. The region has forests, mountains, plains, lakes, rivers, gorges, and fjords. It also can have a very big fishing industry because it is an island, as well as mining, agriculture and farming. This profile helps me set my goals in my blueprint because in Kalistonia there are many hills, valleys, lakes and rivers, which is what I requested in my blueprint.

MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTION
A main tourist attraction is the mines, built into the side of the hill not far from Gallifrey (the capital city). The mines are very extensive and contain many precious gemstones and minerals. The mines are connected by a series of tunnels with a huge smelting cavern and lots of other caverns for preparing gemstones and minerals. Tourists can pay ഋ20 for a self-guided tour, and ഋ50 for a tour with a native plus a bonus look at the gemstone room (a room with all the precious minerals discovered by the miners). Natives get free admission but if they wish to see the gemstone room they have to pay ഋ5.

NATIONAL FLOWER
The poroporo flower is native to Kalistonia and has a very distinctive colour.
I chose this flower because It is a tradition to shower the newborn baby with these flowers, and bury deceased Kalistonians with one at their heart.

NATIONAL ANIMAL
The Kakariki is Kalistonia’s national animal because it is native to New Zealand and represents our people -- colourful and friendly. You may notice that this bird shares the colours of our flag.
